تحت الظلام ولم تحذر من الحرس
A warm welcome to her who visited without a prior promise,
Welcome and greetings to one who came uncounted
Under cover of darkness, not fearing the guards.
Beneath the darkness and did not fear the guard
تسترتshe concealed herself بالدجىin the darkness عمداًdeliberately فماyet not استترتshe was concealed
تسترت بالدجى عمداً فما استترت

ولوand even if طواهاit enfolded her الدجىthe darkness عناfrom us لأظهرهاwould surely reveal her
ولو طواها الدجى عنا لأظهرها
برقthe gleam الثناياthe front teeth وعطرand the fragrance النحرthe base of the neck والنفسand the breath
برق الثنايا وعطر النحر والنفس
And even if the darkness hid her from us, she would surely be revealed by
And if the night had concealed her from us, it would have revealed her
