Tell the lowly Abu Riyash: do not fret;

Tell the worthless man who refused advice:

Strut all you like over your authority and office.

Your lost ways with power and action do not improve.

When you were appointed, you gained nothing but baseness,

When you took charge, you did not gain,

Like a dog, most impure when it bathes.

Like a dog, most vile even when washed.
