يا رب إن العبد يخفي عيبه

يا رب إن العبد يخفي عيبه

فاستر بحلمك ما دبا من عيبه

فاستر بحلمك ما دبا من عيبه

O Lord, indeed the servant hides his fault.

O Lord, the servant hides his faults

So conceal, in Your forbearance, whatever of his fault has crept forth.

So veil with Your forbearance what faults arise in him

ولقد اتاك وما له من شافع

ولقد اتاك وما له من شافع

لذنوبه فاقبل شفاعة شيبه

لذنوبه فاقبل شفاعة شيبه

And indeed he has come to You with no intercessor

And though he comes to You with no intercessor

for his sins; so accept the intercession of his gray hair.

For his sins, accept the intercession of his old age
