وكأنّand as though الرّاياتِthe banners وهيَwhile they معَwith الرّيthe wind (first part)
وكأنّ الرّاياتِ وهيَ معَ الرّي
حِ(completes 'the wind') فؤادُthe heart المقصُودِthe one targeted فيin خَفَقانِهits fluttering
حِ فؤادُ المقصُودِ في خَفَقانِه
And the banners, moving with the wind, seem like
As if the flags fluttering in the wind
the heart of the one targeted, in its fluttering.
Were the heart of the beloved in its throbbing
وكأنّand as though الرذاذَthe drizzle فوقَabove جناحيtwo wings
وكأنّ الرذاذَ فوقَ جناحي
هِits (possessive suffix) جمانٌpearls يروقُare pleasing عندwhen اقترانِهtheir joining together
هِ جمانٌ يروقُ عند اقترانِه
And the drizzle above its two wings seems like
As if the mist upon my wings
pearls, lovely when strung together.
Were beautiful cups brought together.
