وَمرهفاتٍand keen-edged blades كأنّهاas though they were شُهُبٌshooting stars
وَمرهفاتٍ كأنّها شُهُبٌ
طوالعٌrising فيin يديكَyour two hands مطلعُهاtheir rising-place
طوالعٌ في يديكَ مطلعُها
And keen-edged blades, as though they were shooting stars,
Rising—their rising-place is in your hands;
كأنّهاas though they were طالباتpursuing مُسترقٍan eavesdropper
كأنّها طالبات مُسترقٍ
مَفرَعهاtheir place of descent فيin الكُلىthe kidneys ومشرَعُهاand their watering-place
مَفرَعها في الكُلى ومشرَعُها
As though pursuing an eavesdropper,
Their descent and their watering-place lie in the kidneys.
