إذاwhen عداhe runs واشتَّدand strives hard فيin طلابهِhis pursuit
إذا عدا واشتَّد في طلابهِ
يكادُhe nearly أنto يخرجemerge منfrom إهابهhis hide
يكادُ أن يخرج من إهابه
When he runs and strives hard in his pursuit,
When he attacks and becomes fierce towards his pursuers
He nearly bursts out of his hide,
He is on the verge of escaping from their grasp
متقدٌblazing كالنَّارِlike fire فيin التهابهِhis ardor
متقدٌ كالنَّارِ في التهابهِ
لاnot يطعنُhe pierces الصيدthe quarry بغيرwith anything other than نابهِhis fang
لا يطعنُ الصيد بغير نابهِ
Blazing like fire in his ardor,
Blazing like fire in its inflammation
He pierces the quarry with nothing but his fang.
He strikes his prey with nothing but his tusks
