The faces of hopes are radiant through you,

Faces of hopes through you all unveiled

And smile upon me, rejoicing.

Laughing at me, joyfully cheered

ولي أملٌ فيكمُ صادقٌ

قريبٌ عسى اللَهُ قد يَسَّره

And I have a true hope in you,

Near fulfillment—perhaps God has already eased its way.

Soon, God willing, to be made easy

عليّ ديونٌ وتَصحيفُها

وعندكُم الجود والمَغفِره

I bear debts—and their altered-dot counterpart, sins;

Upon me are debts and their writing off
