بنياه حتى يذبحا مذبح السخل

And led without crime to ruin and decay

His family built up only to be slaughtered

فويل بني مروان ماذا أصابهم

بأيدي بني العباس بالأسر والقتل

So woe to the Marwanids - what has befallen them
