منfrom الشامةِal-Shāmah القُصْوىthe farthest أخَذْناwe set out فأصبحتْand by morning she was
من الشامةِ القُصْوى أخَذْنا فأصبحتْ
تُلَقِّفُsnatching up أيديهاher forelegs بذاتِat Dhāt السَّلاسِلِal-Salāsil (the Chains)
تُلَقِّفُ أيديها بذاتِ السَّلاسِلِ
From farthest al-Shāmah we set out, and by morning
From the furthest north we took her and she became
From the farthest Shama we took our path, so she became
her forelegs were snatching at the ground at Dhāt al-Salāsil.
