Sol 6.1

  1. صلاة على المختار عذب الموارد

    وآل وأصحاب كرام أماجد

    Blessings upon the Chosen One, whose springs are sweet,

    and his family and companions, noble and illustrious.

  2. أيا من يريد الفوز والبشر والهدى

    ويسعد في الدارين يعطي المقاصد

    O you who seek success, glad tidings, and guidance,

    and would prosper in both abodes and have your wishes granted:

  3. عليك خليلي باتباع محمد

    وسنته فاعضض لها بالنواجد

    my dear friend, you must follow Muhammad

    and his way—bite firmly onto it with your molars.

  4. وقف باكياً بالباب بالصدق واقتفى

    لآثاره وامكث لمولاك عابد

    And stand weeping at the door in sincerity, and follow

    his footsteps; remain a worshipper of your Lord.

  5. ودع قول واش والعزول على المدى

    وبادر إلى المحبوب سر المحامد

    And leave the slanderer's words and the reprover's for all time,

    and hasten to the Beloved, the secret of praise.

  6. فمن لاذ من كل الأنام بأحمد

    يقيه الردى والمهلكات المصايد

    For whoever among all creation takes refuge in Ahmad,

    he shields him from death and deadly snares.

  7. فكم جادكم أعطى وعلى تفضلا

    هو السيد العالي على كل ماجد

    For how often he has been generous to you, given, and risen high in bounty!

    He is the master, exalted above every noble one.

  8. واحسانه عم المريدين منة

    بفيض وامداد مدى الدهر زائد

    And his kindness has embraced the seekers as a gracious gift,

    with an ever-growing outpouring and aid throughout time.

  9. وان جاء مثلي قاصداً في حوائج

    أواه وأعطى الكل ما هو زائد

    And if someone like me comes seeking help with his needs,

    he shelters him and grants everyone more than enough.

  10. فغث يا رسول اللَه وارحم تكرما

    بدار الدنا والأخرى يا خير زاهد

    So bring aid, O Messenger of God, and show mercy in your generosity,

    in this world's abode and the next, O best of ascetics.

  11. ويا خير كل المرسلين كذا الورى

    ويا خير مخلوقات مولانا واحد

    And O best of all messengers, and likewise of all creation,

    and O best of our Lord's creatures, unique one.

  12. أتاك مسيء يرتجى فامنح الهدى

    ثمال اليتامى بل ومن جاء وارد

    A sinner has come to you in hope; grant him guidance,

    O sustainer of orphans—indeed, of every arriving seeker.

  13. عبيدك يا زين الوجود وغوثه

    فقير بوحدانية اللَه شاهد

    Your humble servant, O adornment of existence and its succor,

    is needy, bearing witness to God's oneness.

  14. عبيدكم الساهي المسمى بهاشم

    كثيراً يرجى جبر قلب فساعد

    Your heedless humble servant, the one called Hashim,

    greatly hopes for his heart to be mended; help him.

  15. فمالي في كل العوالم غير كم

    فجرني من الاهوال واهلك حواسد

    For in all the worlds I have none but you;

    so shelter me from terrors, and destroy the envious.

  16. أيا خير مخلوق ويا سيد الورى

    وأحمدنا المرجو لحسن العوائد

    O best of created beings, O master of creation,

    and our Ahmad, looked to for gracious favors.

  17. أيا مصطفى يا فرد قطب رسالة

    ويا مجتبي نعم النبي المجاهد

    O Mustafa, peerless one, axis of the prophetic mission,

    and O elect one—how excellent the striving Prophet!

  18. أغث سرعة وانشل لصب مبرح

    متيم قد أضناه هجرك جاهد

    Bring aid swiftly, and rescue a lover racked with pain,

    enslaved by love and exhausted, wasted by your abandonment.

  19. لمن تهملوني سيدي أنا ذو النوى

    كواني بصد لا يفيق معاند

    To whom do you abandon me, my master? I am afflicted with separation.

    A stubborn one has seared me with rejection, never relenting.

  20. ألا من عذيري من رشا وادي اللقا

    فريم حكت عيناه سحر التعاقد

    Ah, who will defend me against the fawn of the valley of meeting?

    For he is a white gazelle whose eyes mirror the magic of binding knots.

  21. وبالسيف من لحظ العيون أصابني

    سقام وشيء لا أصفه لحاسد

    And by the sword of those glancing eyes I was stricken

    with sickness and something I will not describe to an envier.

  22. وأكنى بهذا عن سليما وغانم

    ودعد وربات العلو وناهد

    And with this I allude to Sulayma and Ghanim,

    and Da'd, and ladies of the heights, and Nahid.

  23. وما قصد لا سلمى ولا ربت الخبا

    ولكن قصدي أعظم الرسل واحد

    Yet neither Salma nor the lady of the tent is my aim;

    but my aim is the greatest of messengers alone:

  24. رحيم ومحبوب أخو الحلم والندى

    ورأس التقى والفضل والجود راشد

    merciful and beloved, endowed with forbearance and bounty,

    and foremost in piety, excellence, and generosity, rightly guided,

  25. ويعسوب كل المرسلين أمامهم

    أمام منيع واضع الهدى ماجد

    and chief of all messengers, at their head,

    an unassailable leader, establisher of guidance, illustrious.

  26. عبيدك في قيد الذنوب ففكه

    وأول لما يرجو وأقهر مضاددي

    Your humble servant is fettered by sins; set him free,

    and grant what he hopes for, and subdue my opponents.

  27. فكن سندي واحم الخطوب باسرها

    اذا ضاق حالاه ولا قاه صارد

    So be my support, and ward off every calamity,

    when both his states grow strait and a piercing assailant meets him.

  28. وصلى عليك اللَه يا خير خلقه

    وآل وأصحاب كرام أماجد

    And may God bless you, O best of His creation,

    and his family and companions, noble and illustrious,

  29. متى مغرم من شدة الحال قائلا

    صلاة على المختار عذب الموارد

    whenever a lover, overwhelmed by his condition, says:

    Blessings upon the Chosen One, whose springs are sweet.

  30. ويتلو سلام اللَه ما هام عاشق

    وما غردت سجعاً حمام أغارد

    And may God's peace follow, as long as a lover wanders in passion,

    and as long as melodious doves sing their cooing songs.
