قَلِّدْEntrust أُمورَthe affairs of عبادِthe servants of اللهِGod ذاone possessing ثِقَةٍtrustworthiness
قَلِّدْ أُمورَ عبادِ اللهِ ذا ثِقَةٍ
مُوحَّدَsingle-minded in الرأيِjudgment لاnot نِكسٌa weakling ولاnor بَرَمُa fretful man
مُوحَّدَ الرأيِ لا نِكسٌ ولا بَرَمُ
Entrust the affairs of God’s servants to a trustworthy man—
Entrust the affairs of God’s servants to a trustworthy man,
firm and undivided in judgment, neither weak nor easily vexed.
single-minded in judgment, neither weak nor fretful.
واتركْAnd disregard مقالَةَthe words of أقوامٍpeople ذَويpossessing خَطَلٍfoolishness
واتركْ مقالَةَ أقوامٍ ذَوي خَطَلٍ
لاnot يفهمونthey understand إذاwhen ماan emphatic particle مَعشرٌa group of people فهمواthey understood
لا يفهمون إذا ما مَعشرٌ فهموا
And shun the counsel of men possessed by folly,
And disregard the words of people given to folly,
who fail to understand when others understand.
who do not understand when others do.
