وَليسand is not فيضٌFayḍ بفيّاضoverflowing (emphatic) العطاءgiving لناto us
وَليس فيضٌ بفيّاض العطاء لنا
لكنّbut فَيضاًFayḍ لناfor us بالقيءwith vomit فيّاضُoverflowing
لكنّ فَيضاً لنا بالقيء فيّاضُ
And Fayḍ does not overflow with generosity toward us;
The overflowing of bounty is not for us
But Fayḍ overflows with vomit for us.
But an overflow of vomit is plentiful for us
لَيثlion الليوثِof the lions عليناagainst us باسلٌbrave شرسٌfierce
لَيث الليوثِ علينا باسلٌ شرسٌ
وَفيand in الحروبwars هيوبُfearful الصدرِthe breast جيّاضُquick to flee
وَفي الحروب هيوبُ الصدرِ جيّاضُ
Against us, he is a lion among lions, brave and fierce;
The lion of lions is valiant and fierce against us
Yet in wars, he is fainthearted and quick to flee.
And in wars the chests of the brave spew blood
