بأكرم مولود به عمت البشرى

بأكرم مولود به عمت البشرى

Join me in congratulating the faith and the greatest sign

With me let us praise the faith and greatest verse

on the birth of the noblest child, through whom glad tidings spread everywhere.

With the noblest birth that brought glad tidings far and wide

فمن منحنى الزوراء وافت إلى الحمى

فمن منحنى الزوراء وافت إلى الحمى

بمولده السامي بشائرها تترى

بمولده السامي بشائرها تترى

For from the bend of al-Zawra there came to the sanctuary

For it came from the radiant and approached the sanctuary

its glad tidings of his exalted birth, one after another.

With its sublime birth its omens can be seen

تفرع من زيتونة رضوية

تفرع من زيتونة رضوية

يرد سنا أنوارها الشمس والبدرا

يرد سنا أنوارها الشمس والبدرا

He branched forth from an olive tree of al-Rida;

Branching from the olive tree of divine pleasure

the radiance of its lights drives back the sun and the full moon.

Its lights outshine sun and moon alike

زكا أصله والفرع يتبع أصله

زكا أصله والفرع يتبع أصله

فحاز من الجدين في مهده الفخرا

فحاز من الجدين في مهده الفخرا

His root was pure, and the branch follows its root;

Pure is its origin and branches follow roots

so he gained glory from his two grandfathers while still in his cradle.

Thus in his cradle he attained glory from both ancestors
