وأسعد خلق الله من قال عن رضى

وأسعد خلق الله من قال عن رضى

لقد عشتُ هذا اليوم غير منغص

لقد عشتُ هذا اليوم غير منغص

And the happiest of God’s creatures is he who says contentedly:

“I have lived this day untroubled,”

وما يشغل الأفكار بالخوف من غدٍ

وما يشغل الأفكار بالخوف من غدٍ

وما الغد مما نال بالمتنقص

وما الغد مما نال بالمتنقص

And does not occupy his thoughts with fear of tomorrow;

And tomorrow will not diminish what he has gained.
