فَلِلّهِso, to God (an exclamation) ساعٍone who strives بِالمَظالِمِwith wrongs بَعدَهاafter it
فَلِلّهِ ساعٍ بِالمَظالِمِ بَعدَها
يَرىhe sees كَيفَhow يَأتيact الظالِمونَthe wrongdoers وَيَسمَعُand he hears
يَرى كَيفَ يَأتي الظالِمونَ وَيَسمَعُ
By God, what a pursuer of wrongs after that—
For God waits to avenge the wrongs done after,
who sees how the wrongdoers act, and hears.
Seeing how the oppressors come and hearing all.
سَعىhe strove لِبَنيfor the sons of عَبسٍAbs بِغَدوَةِon the morning of داحِسٍDahis
سَعى لِبَني عَبسٍ بِغَدوَةِ داحِسٍ
عَلىagainst آلِthe house of بَدرٍBadr وَالرِماحُand the spears تَزَعزَعُshake
عَلى آلِ بَدرٍ وَالرِماحُ تَزَعزَعُ
He strove for Banu Abs on the morning of Dahis
He strove for Bani ‘Abs with warriors of Dahis,
against the house of Badr, while the spears shook.
Against the clan of Badr, while the thrusting spears shook.
وَرَهطُand the clan of كُلَيبٍKulaib قَدindeed جَزاهُمhe repaid them بظُلمِهِمfor their wrongdoing
وَرَهطُ كُلَيبٍ قَد جَزاهُم بظُلمِهِم
بِبَطنِin the valley of شُبَيثٍShubayth إِذas يَنوءُhe struggles to rise وَيُصرَعُand he is felled
بِبَطنِ شُبَيثٍ إِذ يَنوءُ وَيُصرَعُ
And Kulaib's clan—he indeed repaid them for their wrongdoing
And the tribe of Kilab, their injustice has been repaid,
in the valley of Shubayth, as he struggles to rise and is felled.
In the valley of Shubayth, as they moan fallen.
