إِذا ضَيَّعتَ أَوَّلَ كُلِّ أَمرٍ
أَبَتrefuse أَعجازُهُits later stages إِلّاexcept التِواءَcrookedness
أَبَت أَعجازُهُ إِلّا التِواءَ
If you neglect the beginning of any undertaking,
When you lose the start of every matter
its later stages will insist on going awry.
Its ends refuse nothing but to twist
