تَ لأَنِّي عَدَدْتُ نَفْسِيَ أَهْلا
You are my master; I did not say, 'You are my master,'
My master, I did not say "my master"
because I deemed myself worthy.
Because I counted myself among the free

I am free, and the free man bears witness that I
I am free, and the free man testifies that I
am your slave; so write a deed to that effect.
Am your slave, so record that in your book

It is my honor if you accept me as your slave,
My nobility, if you are pleased with me, makes me
and that is glory and nobility enough for me.
Your possession, and with that I have honor and nobility
