سارواthey departed وماand did not عاجواthey turned عليكَtoward you بنظرةٍwith a glance
ساروا وما عاجوا عليكَ بنظرةٍ
اللَهُGod يحفظprotects مَنْwhoever جَفاكshunned you ويصحبُand accompanies
اللَهُ يحفظ مَنْ جَفاك ويصحبُ
They departed and did not turn toward you with a glance.
They left without glancing back at you,
May God protect and accompany whoever shunned you.
May God protect those who were cruel to you and accompany,
ليسis not التعجُّبُthe wonder منfrom بكاكَyour weeping لفقدهِمْfor losing them
ليس التعجُّبُ من بكاكَ لفقدهِمْ
لكنْbut بقاكَyour living on معwith التفرقseparation أَعجبُmore wondrous
لكنْ بقاكَ مع التفرق أَعجبُ
The wonder is not in your weeping at losing them;
It is not surprising that you weep for their loss,
But your living on in separation is more wondrous.
But it is more amazing that you remain despite the separation.
