Rise, lad, and turn to the wine.
Rise, O youth, to the wine,
Rise; heal me with a goblet of it.
Rise and pour me a cup,

For dawn is plundering the darkness,
For the dawn steals away the gloom
And the full moon laughs in the dark.
And the moon smiles in the darkness.

Teeth to drink, for the clouds’ lightning has passed.
For the flash of clouds has passed.

Before the arrival of the doves.

From a time that wrongs the generous.
