O peerless one in beauty, whose loveliness

bends the reins of gazes toward him.

Indeed, I seek protection for you by Him who created love

and lovers, from enslaving the freeborn.

And your face seems a blessing amid affliction

to those who gaze, and a paradise amid fire.

And the line of his cheek-down upon his cheek seems

a night gleaming in the whiteness of day.
