He has a smiling mouth whose lightning snatches away
His laughing flashes capture men's minds, when he deigns to smile.
The minds of men whenever he smiles.
When his pearl appears, I say to him: We acknowledge the wisdom of its Maker.

I say to him, when his pearls appear:
I see the pearl pierced by stringers, yet they pierce it not - how then is it strung?
We bear witness to their maker's wisdom.

وَما ثَقَبُوا ذَا فَكَيْفَ انْتَظَمْ
I see pearls pierced by those who string them;
Yet they have not pierced these—so how were they strung?
