وَكَأَنَّهاand as though she تَهْوىloves إِذاعَةَspreading ضَوْئِهاher light
وَكَأَنَّها تَهْوى إِذاعَةَ ضَوْئِها
لِلنَّاظِرِينَto those who gaze لِسَعْدِهِمْfor their good fortune بِنُحُوسِهاthrough her ill fortune
لِلنَّاظِرِينَ لِسَعْدِهِمْ بِنُحُوسِها
And it is as though she loves to spread her light
As if it likes to radiate its light
to those who gaze, for their good fortune through her ill fortune.
To viewers, for their luck through its eclipses
فَإِذاthen when تَقَرَّبَdraws near عُمْرُهاher lifespan لِنَفادِهِto its end
فَإِذا تَقَرَّبَ عُمْرُها لِنَفادِهِ
رَدُّواthey restored لَهاto her عُمْراًa lifespan بِقَطْعِby cutting off رؤُوسِهاher heads
رَدُّوا لَها عُمْراً بِقَطْعِ رؤُوسِها
Then, when her life draws near its end,
So when its lifetime approaches its end
they restore life to her by cutting off her heads.
They grant it lifetime by beheading it
