فيon ليلةِthe night of التِمِّfullness إِذwhen بَداhe appeared طَرِباjoyful
في ليلةِ التِمِّ إِذ بَدا طَرِبا
Whoever has not seen the full moon sees no marvel,
He who has not seen the full moon's light
On the night of its fullness, when he appeared joyful.
Will not see a wonder on the darkest night
أَسفرhe unveiled his face للشمسِto the sun كيso that يُقبِّلَهاhe might kiss her
أَسفر للشمسِ كي يُقبِّلَها
فماbut did not رآهاsee her فعادso he returned منتقباveiled
فما رآها فعاد منتقبا
He unveiled his face to the sun to kiss her,
When it has donned its veil and hidden its face
But he did not see her, so he returned veiled.
The sun arises unveiled - an act of grace
