لَهَا حُكْمُ لُقْمَانٍ وَصُورَةُ يُوُسفٍ

وَنَغْمَةُ دَاوُدٍ وَعِفَّةُ مَرْيَمِ

وَنَغْمَةُ دَاوُدٍ وَعِفَّةُ مَرْيَمِ

She has Luqman's wisdom and Joseph's beauty,

She has the wisdom of Luqman and the beauty of Joseph,

and David's melody and Mary's chastity.

And the melody of David and the chastity of Mary.

وَلِي سُقْمُ أَيُّوبٍ وَغُرْبَةُ يُونُسٍ

وَلِي سُقْمُ أَيُّوبٍ وَغُرْبَةُ يُونُسٍ

وَأَحْزَانُ يَعْقُوبٍ وَوَحْشَةُ آدَمِ

وَأَحْزَانُ يَعْقُوبٍ وَوَحْشَةُ آدَمِ

And I have Job's illness and Jonah's exile,

But I have the affliction of Job and the exile of Jonah,

and Jacob's sorrows and Adam's loneliness.

And the sorrows of Jacob and the loneliness of Adam.
