فَصَوَّبتُهُso I sent him downward كَأَنَّهُas though he were صَوبُthe pouring of غَبيَةٍa rain shower
فَصَوَّبتُهُ كَأَنَّهُ صَوبُ غَبيَةٍ
عَلىupon الأَمعَزِthe hard, stony ground الضاحيexposed to the sun إِذاwhen سيطَhe was whipped أَحضَراhe galloped
عَلى الأَمعَزِ الضاحي إِذا سيطَ أَحضَرا
So I sent him downward, like a shower of rain pouring
Upon the exposed, stony ground; when whipped, he galloped.
