وَكَمand many a وَزَعناwe held back مِنof خَميسٍan army جَحفَلِmighty
وَكَم وَزَعنا مِن خَميسٍ جَحفَلِ
وَكَمand many a حَبَوناwe bestowed gifts upon مِنof رَئيسٍa chieftain مِسحَلِbold
وَكَم حَبَونا مِن رَئيسٍ مِسحَلِ
And many a mighty army have we held back!
How many a foe in his black tent we've quelled
And many a bold chieftain have we bestowed gifts upon!
And how many a chieftain's neck in the dust we've knelled
