وَعَدْتَyou promised بِزَيْتٍto give oil ثُمَّthen أَخلَفْتَyou broke مَوْعِدِيthe promise made to me
وأَنتَand you بِإخْلافِto breaking الوُعُودِpromises جَدِيرُwell suited
You promised oil, then broke your promise to me.
You promised oil but then you broke your promise
And you are well suited to breaking promises.
And you are worthy of breaking promises
وَقُلْتَand you said الذيwhat عِندِيI have غَلِيظٌthick مُدَوَّرٌround
وَإخْراجُand getting out هذاthis مِنfrom يَدَيكَyour two hands عَسِيرُdifficult
And you said, “What I have is thick and round.”
You said what I have is thick and round
And getting this out of your hands is difficult.
And taking this out of your hands is difficult
