حَظّيmy luck فَأُفِّso fie! فَماso what حَقِّىmy right أُرَدِدُهَاI repeat it
Tuesday has turned into Saturday—fie upon
The three nights of Saturday have become my parting gift
My luck! Fie, then—what right have I to repeat it?
So I must bid them farewell, though I'm loath to repeat it
أَلْهَانَيَdistracted me الَهمُّworry عَنfrom نَعْتيmy epithet وَأُفِّand fie! بِهاwith it

Worry distracted me from my epithet; and with that 'fie!'
Worry has distracted me from praising them; still I bid them adieu
Its kindler keeps extinguishing the lamp of night.
He continues extinguishing the lamp he had lit for the night
