The ten-day span hastened to kiss the ten fingers of your hands,

And its crescent longed for fullness from you.

And the realm beheld a light dawning from you—

How often its light dispelled darkness and injustice!

So it appeared as a chamberlain before you—how fortunate

is any star who belongs to your gate!
