My repeated trips to the baker today distract me
My wandering today to the baker occupies me
From visits and repeated calls upon people.
From wandering and going back to people
مَاwhat لَيسَis not ليfor me بُدُّan escape منهُfrom it كُلَّevery شَارقَةٍsunrise

What I cannot do without at each sunrise—
What I cannot avoid every morning
I hasten to it, with my eyes and head at its service.
I strive for it with my eyes and head

And my own idleness has gone on; I have no work
And my unemployment has lasted so no work
Except quarrelling with my family, or working for my molars.
Except for the teeth of my family or for my teeth
