لاnot أَجْحَدُI deny المِنَنَthe favors التيwhich تَلَّدْتُمُyou adorned (apparently intended: قَلَّدْتُمُ)
لا أَجْحَدُ المِنَنَ التي تَلَّدْتُمُ
جِيدِيmy neck ولاand not أَنسىI forget ولاand not أَتَناسَىI pretend to forget
جِيدِي ولا أَنسى ولا أَتَناسَى
I do not deny the favors with which you have adorned
I do not deny the favors with which you have overwhelmed me,
my neck; I neither forget nor pretend to forget.
Nor do I forget or pretend to forget.
وَتَجُوبُand traverse كُتْبُكُمyour letters البلادَthe lands ولاand not أَرَىI see
وَتَجُوبُ كُتْبُكُم البلادَ ولا أَرَى
وِدِّيmy affection يُسَاوِيis worth عِندَكُمْin your eyes قِرْطاسَاa sheet of paper
وِدِّي يُسَاوِي عِندَكُمْ قِرْطاسَا
And your letters traverse the lands, yet I do not see
Your books traverse the lands yet I do not see
my affection as worth a sheet of paper in your eyes.
My affection being equal in your eyes to a sheet of paper.
