يَدٌa hand عنِfrom الجُودِgenerosity غُلَّتْwas shackled
يَدٌ عنِ الجُودِ غُلَّتْ
لهُbelonging to him وَوَعْدٌand a promise مُسَلْسَلْchained
لهُ وَوَعْدٌ مُسَلْسَلْ
a hand shackled against generosity—
A hand from generosity withdrawn
his own—and a promise in chains.
