His eye bewildered my mind, and indeed
His glances have enchanted my mind, and so
bewitched it, then showed me Babylon.
She has shown me like one gone mad;
طَرْفُهُhis gaze والقَدُّand the stature كاداboth plotted against مُهجَةًa heart

His gaze and stature plotted against a heart;
His languid eye and delicate form have pierced
the beholder agreed with the receiver concerning it.
My heart, till it encountered the awaiting wound.
