وَذِى رَمَدٍ ثَناني دُونَ سَعْىٍ

لِبابِكَ بالثَّناءِ وبالهَنَاءِ

With two teary eyes without effort

I praise and flatter your door

وأَرجو أَنْ يَعُودَ ضِياءُ عَيني

لَها فَيُمدَّها نُورُ الضِّياءِ

And I hope the light of my eyes returns

So it may extend to it the light of radiance
