ابعَثْ إليَّ بِمِشْطٍ من شَبيبتهِ

يُدْلي بِقُوَّةِ تَركِيبٍ وأسنانِ

يُدْلي بِقُوَّةِ تَركِيبٍ وأسنانِ

Send me a comb that, by virtue of its youth,

boasts a sturdy build and strong teeth.

فَأَنتَ تُمسِكُ إمساكاَ بِمَعْرِفةٍ

فَأَنتَ تُمسِكُ إمساكاَ بِمَعْرِفةٍ

كَما تُسرِّحُ تَسْرِيحاً بِإحسانِ

كَما تُسرِّحُ تَسْرِيحاً بِإحسانِ

For you hold with discernment,

just as you comb with skill.
