حِجَابُهُhis screen قَدindeed زادَhas grown فيin عَرْضهِits breadth
حِجَابُهُ قَد زادَ في عَرْضهِ
مَعْwith وَجْهِthe face of بَوَّابٍa doorkeeper طَويلٍtall بَغيضْloathsome
مَعْ وَجْهِ بَوَّابٍ طَويلٍ بَغيضْ
His screen has indeed grown broader,
along with the face of a tall, loathsome doorkeeper.
فَإنْso if دُفِعْنَاwe are shoved وَوَقَعْناand we fall لهُto him
فَإنْ دُفِعْنَا وَوَقَعْنا لهُ
فَقَدْthen indeed وَقَعْناwe have fallen فيinto الطَّوِيلِthe long العَرِيضْthe broad
فَقَدْ وَقَعْنا في الطَّوِيلِ العَرِيضْ
So if we are shoved and fall into his hands,
then we have indeed fallen into trouble long and broad.
