وَليand I have قَلَمٌa pen فيin عَصْرِكُمْyour time جَفَّdried up رِيقُهُits saliva
وَلي قَلَمٌ في عَصْرِكُمْ جَفَّ رِيقُهُ
وَيَكفيهِand is enough for it مِنfrom دُنْياهُits world نُغْبَةُa sip طائرِof a bird
وَيَكفيهِ مِن دُنْياهُ نُغْبَةُ طائرِ
And I have a pen whose saliva has dried up in your time;
In your time my pen's reed has run dry
And a bird’s sip is all it needs from its world.
And a bird's morning feed is enough for life
