مَنْwhoever أَعْلَقَتْهُensnared him لِلجُفُونِof the eyelids حَبَائِلٌsnares
مَنْ أَعْلَقَتْهُ لِلجُفُونِ حَبَائِلٌ
مُتَيَّقِنِcertain أَنْthat لَيسَthere is not مِنهاfrom them مَخْلَصُescape
مُتَيَّقِنِ أَنْ لَيسَ مِنها مَخْلَصُ
Whoever has been caught by the eyelids’ snares
Is certain there is no escape from them.
يَاO مَعْشَرَcompany of العُذَّالِthe reproachers لَسْتُI am not بِصابِرٍpatient
يَا مَعْشَرَ العُذَّالِ لَسْتُ بِصابِرٍ
عَنْهُمْaway from them ولاnor سَالٍforgetful لَهُمْof them فَتَربَّصُواso wait
عَنْهُمْ ولا سَالٍ لَهُمْ فَتَربَّصُوا
O company of reproachers, I cannot bear being apart
From them, nor can I forget them; so wait.
