أَموْلانا ضِياءَ الدِّينِ دُمْ لي

أَموْلانا ضِياءَ الدِّينِ دُمْ لي

وَعِشْ طولَ الزَّمانِ بلا انتِهاءِ

وَعِشْ طولَ الزَّمانِ بلا انتِهاءِ

O our master, Diya al-Din, remain for me,

O our master Diya al-Din, live on for me.

And live through all of time, without end.

And live for all time without end.

فَلَولا أَنتَ ما أَغْنَيْتُ شَيئاً

فَلَولا أَنتَ ما أَغْنَيْتُ شَيئاً

وَمَا يُغْني السِّراجُ بِلا ضِياءِ

وَمَا يُغْني السِّراجُ بِلا ضِياءِ

For were it not for you, I would be of no use at all,

For were it not for you, I would be of no use at all.

And what use is a lamp without light?

And what use is al-Siraj—the lamp—without light?
