ظَلَّ عَيْشي علَى الحِمَا

ظَلَّ عَيْشي علَى الحِمَا

رَةِ عَيْشاً مُنَغَّصَا

رَةِ عَيْشاً مُنَغَّصَا

My life remained, upon the she-

My life remains bitterly confined

donkey, a troubled life,

Ever coming to nothing, as empty as air

دائِماً جَائياً سُدًى

دائِماً جَائياً سُدًى

وَكَذا عَادَةُ الخُصى

وَكَذا عَادَةُ الخُصى

always coming in vain—

and such is the habit of testicles.
