أَغْرَى اهتِمامُكَ يَا أمْجَدُ

أَغْرَى اهتِمامُكَ يَا أمْجَدُ

فَقِدْرِيَ مِن غَيْظِها تُزْبِدُ

فَقِدْرِيَ مِن غَيْظِها تُزْبِدُ

Your concern has provoked it, O Amjad;

Your attention has tempted me, O Amjad

so my pot froths with rage.

So my pot boils with fury

وصَوْميَ والبَرْدُ قَدْ أَقبلا

وصَوْميَ والبَرْدُ قَدْ أَقبلا

وَمَطْبَخُنا فِيها أَرْمَدُ

وَمَطْبَخُنا فِيها أَرْمَدُ

And my fasting and the cold have both arrived,

And my fast and the cold have come

and our kitchen there is covered in ashes.

While our kitchen in it has become dormant
