قَنْطَرَةٌa bridge قَدْalready بُنِيَتْwas built
قَنْطَرَةٌ قَدْ بُنِيَتْ
وَصُوِّرَتْand it was fashioned مِنfrom المُلَحْdelightful things
وَصُوِّرَتْ مِن المُلَحْ
A bridge has been built,
A bridge was built
And fashioned from delightful things.
And shaped from salt
يَكادُalmost مَنْwhoever يُبْصِرُهاbeholds it
يَكادُ مَنْ يُبْصِرُها
يَطِيرُflies عُجْباًin admiration وَفَرَحْand joy
يَطِيرُ عُجْباً وَفَرَحْ
Whoever beholds it almost
Whoever sees it
Flies with admiration and joy.
Would fly in wonder and joy
قَدْalready كَمَلَتْhave become perfect أَوْصافُهاits qualities
قَدْ كَمَلَتْ أَوْصافُها
مِنfrom كُلِّevery حُسْنٍbeauty مُقْتَرَحْwished for
مِن كُلِّ حُسْنٍ مُقْتَرَحْ
Its qualities have reached perfection,
Its features were perfected
With every beauty one could wish for.
With every proposed beauty
كَأَنَّماas though ارْتِفاعُهَاits rise
كَأَنَّما ارْتِفاعُهَا
فيat ذُرْوَةٍa summit قَوْسُbow قُزَحْQuzah (in 'rainbow')
في ذُرْوَةٍ قَوْسُ قُزَحْ
As though its rise
As if its height
Were a rainbow at a summit.
Was at the pinnacle of a rainbow
