صَباhe yielded to youthful passion صَبوَةًa bout of passion بَلnay لَجَّhe persisted obstinately وَهُوَand he is لَجوجُobstinate
صَبا صَبوَةً بَل لَجَّ وَهُوَ لَجوجُ
وَزالَتand appeared لَهُto him بِالأَنعَمَينِat al-Anʿamayn حُدوجُcamel litters
وَزالَت لَهُ بِالأَنعَمَينِ حُدوجُ
He yielded to youthful passion—nay, persisted, obstinate as he is.
The dawn glowed brightly, but soon turned gloomy,
And at al-Anʿamayn, camel litters appeared before him.
And the beautiful twain vanished from him speedily.
