ظَلَّcontinued وَسطَamid النَدِيِّthe assembly قَتليmy slaying بِلاwithout جُرcri- (first part of 'crime')
ظَلَّ وَسطَ النَدِيِّ قَتلي بِلا جُر
مٍ-me (completes 'crime') وَقَومِيَand my people يُثخِنونَthey slaughter السِخالاthe lambs and kids
مٍ وَقَومِيَ يُثخِنونَ السِخالا
My slaying continued amid the assembly, for no cri-
In the meadow he was slain, no fault in him
-me, while my people were slaughtering the lambs and kids.
While my people thickly laid on the hands of blame
