مَجْدٌ عَلَى الْأَمْوَاجِ يُشْرِفُ عَالِي

مَجْدٌ عَلَى الْأَمْوَاجِ يُشْرِفُ عَالِي

هَذَا جِهَادُكِ مِصْرُ فِي تِمْثَالِ

هَذَا جِهَادُكِ مِصْرُ فِي تِمْثَالِ

Glory towers high above the waves.

Glory atop the waves rises high

This is your struggle, O Egypt, in a statue.

This is your jihad, Egypt, in an idol

هَذَا ابْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاهِبُ قَوْمِهِ

هَذَا ابْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَاهِبُ قَوْمِهِ

نِعَمَ الْحَيَاةِ وَبَاعِثُ الْآمَالِ

نِعَمَ الْحَيَاةِ وَبَاعِثُ الْآمَالِ

This is Ibrahim's son, who grants his people

This is the son of Ibrahim, giver of his people

Life's blessings and awakens hopes.

The best life and awakener of hopes

هَذَا الَّذِي جَلَّتْ عَظَائِمُ سَعْيِهِ

هَذَا الَّذِي جَلَّتْ عَظَائِمُ سَعْيِهِ

عَنْ أَنْ تُصَوِّرَهَا بَنَانُ خَيَالِ

عَنْ أَنْ تُصَوِّرَهَا بَنَانُ خَيَالِ

This is he whose mighty achievements were too sublime

This is he whose great feats

For the fingertips of imagination to portray them.

Are too grand for the edifice of imagination

هَذَا الْمَلِيكُ الْعَبْقَرِيُّ، عَنَتْ لَهُ

هَذَا الْمَلِيكُ الْعَبْقَرِيُّ، عَنَتْ لَهُ

أُمَمٌ وَدَانَتْ صَوْلَةُ الْأَبْطَالِ

أُمَمٌ وَدَانَتْ صَوْلَةُ الْأَبْطَالِ

This is the brilliant king; before him bowed

This brilliant king, whom nations obeyed

Nations, and the might of heroes yielded.

And the prowess of heroes submitted to

هَذَا أَبُو الْأَشْبَالِ، سَلْ عَنْهُ الْعُلَا

هَذَا أَبُو الْأَشْبَالِ، سَلْ عَنْهُ الْعُلَا

تُنْبِئْكَ حَقًّا مَنْ أَبُو الْأَشْبَالِ

This is Abu al-Ashbal, Father of Lion Cubs; ask glory about him.

This is the father of cubs, ask the heights

It will tell you truly who Abu al-Ashbal is.

بِعَوَارِفِ الْإِحْسَانِ وَالْأَفْضَالِ

بِعَوَارِفِ الْإِحْسَانِ وَالْأَفْضَالِ

This is Abu al-Dhahab, Father of Gold, who flooded hopes

This is the father of gold who flooded wishes

With gifts of kindness and bounty.

With virtues of benevolence and bounty

هَذَا الْهُمَامُ، وَهَذِهِ أَعْمَالُهُ

هَذَا الْهُمَامُ، وَهَذِهِ أَعْمَالُهُ

أَرَأَيْتَ كَيْفَ جَلَائِلُ الْأَعْمَالِ؟

أَرَأَيْتَ كَيْفَ جَلَائِلُ الْأَعْمَالِ؟

This is the valiant one, and these are his deeds.

This is the aspirant, and these are his deeds

Have you seen what great deeds are like?

Have you seen how magnificent are his deeds?

هَذَا الَّذِي فَارُوقُ مِصْرَ حَفِيدُهُ

زَيْنُ الشَّبَابِ وَسَيِّدُ الْأَقْيَالِ
