For the joy of your arrival, the breeze arose,

The breeze heralded your welcome arrival

and graced the air with beauty, O boon companion.

And improved the weather, O intimate friend

وعادت ما حلات الدهر خضراً

وعادت ما حلات الدهر خضراً

كأن الوقت عانقهُ النسيمُ

كأن الوقت عانقهُ النسيمُ

And time's parched stretches turned green again,

The land regained its verdure beauty

as though the breeze had embraced time.

As if the breeze embraced the times

وكم رقصت جبال مرّ فيها

وكم رقصت جبال مرّ فيها

حليف الحود تيمور الكريمُ

حليف الحود تيمور الكريمُ

And how many mountains danced when through them passed

And how the hills of Merr danced in it

the ally of generosity, Taimur the noble.

Ally of good, generous Taymur

كذا أسد الفيافي لو رأته

كذا أسد الفيافي لو رأته

أتته خواضعاً ذلاً تهيمُ

أتته خواضعاً ذلاً تهيمُ

Likewise, if the lions of the wilderness saw him,

Thus the king of Fayafee, were he to see him

they would come to him submissive, wandering in abasement.

Would come to him submissively, humbly obsessed

وليس لمركز الأخيار نورٌ

وليس لمركز الأخيار نورٌ

إذا ما نوّر البدر السليمُ

إذا ما نوّر البدر السليمُ

And the seat of the virtuous has no light

The center of the virtuous has no light

when the flawless full moon shines.

Unless the serene full moon illuminates it

وإن ذكر الأكابر في حماءٍ

وإن ذكر الأكابر في حماءٍ

لأنت المعدن الصافي المديمُ

لأنت المعدن الصافي المديمُ

And if the great are mentioned in defense,

And if the great ones are mentioned heatedly

you are indeed the pure, ever-giving source.

You are the pure, perennial mine

علوت لمنصب حاز المثاني

علوت لمنصب حاز المثاني

وساداتٍ لها العهد القويمُ

وساداتٍ لها العهد القويمُ

You rose to a station graced with praises

You ascended to a position that deserved praise

and lords whose covenant is upright.

With strong, enduring principles

سعيد الأصل بل وإمام فضلٍ

سعيد الأصل بل وإمام فضلٍ

وبيت العزّ فيكم مستقيم

وبيت العزّ فيكم مستقيم

Sa'id is the root—indeed, an imam of virtue,

Fortunate in origin and imam of virtue

and the house of glory stands firm in you.

The house of might in you is straight

ذرات المجد بانيها سعيدٌ

ذرات المجد بانيها سعيدٌ

وتركيُّ حماها المستديمُ

وتركيُّ حماها المستديمُ

The particles of glory were built by Sa'id,

Atoms of glory, constructed by Sa'eed

and Turki the steadfast protected them.

And Turki protected it, made it last

وفيصلنا الذي أحيا رسوماً

وفيصلنا الذي أحيا رسوماً

لماضيها وكان لها لزيم

لماضيها وكان لها لزيم

And our Faisal, who revived traces

And our Faisal who revived traditions

of their past, and was their constant companion.

That were attached to the past

فأنت البدر والصافي المكنّى

فأنت البدر والصافي المكنّى

وليّ العهد والبرُّ العميمُ

وليّ العهد والبرُّ العميمُ

So you are the full moon and the pure one, styled

So you are the full moon, the titled sincere one

Crown Prince, and all-embracing goodness.

لكم رتب المعالي كلّ وقت

بلا ثمن يجود بها العليمُ

بلا ثمن يجود بها العليمُ

The ranks of eminence are yours at all times,

For you, ranks of glory always

bestowed without price by the All-Knowing.
