أَنّ اِبنَ عمرو لدى الهيجاءِ يَحميها
The horses know, on the day of terror, if they are routed,
The steed on the day of battle, should it be defeated,
that the son of Amr protects them amid the battle.
Knows Ibn 'Amr amid the fray shall guard it.

The neighbor never fears treachery from him.
No neighbor of his need ever fear betrayal,
And if troubles arise, he is equal to them.
And if adversity comes, he alone can combat it.
