And a fiercely jealous man’s wife—I reached her, and boldly dared approach her;
Many a jealous man's wife have I visited, and many a sturdy she-camel—
I bound my long tress around her with her own cloak.
Atop her, I wrapped my locks in my cloak.

By my life, Murād and Khathʿam were surely visited
By my life, Murad and Khath'am indeed encountered
at Ṣawrān—when they met us—by dire calamities at our hands.
Calamities at our hands at Sawran when they met us.
