Glow, O arms of weariness!
Glow and blaze with rage!
توهّجيglow ومزّقيand tear apart القيودَthe shackles والحدودَand the borders
توهّجي ومزّقي القيودَ والحدودَ
ياO بركةpool اللهبflame
يا بركة اللهب
Glow and tear apart the shackles and the borders!
O pool of flame!
ولتسحقيand crush غلالةthin veil الظلامdarkness فيin الحقبthe ages
ولتسحقي غلالة الظلام في الحقب
عصيّةًdefiant توهّجيglow
عصيّةً توهّجي
And crush the thin veil of darkness through the ages!
Glow, defiant!
ياO كُتَلَmasses الغضبrage
يا كُتَلَ الغضب
ياسرَّO secret الغضبْrage
ياسرَّ الغضبْ
O masses of rage!
O secret of rage!
واشتعليand blaze لهبْflame
واشتعلي لهبْ
توهّجيglow ياO أذرُعarms التعبْweariness
توهّجي يا أذرُع التعبْ
And burst into flame!
Glow, O arms of weariness!
ياO أرضناour land ترابهاher soil الذهبْgold..
يا أرضنا ترابها الذهبْ..
سماؤُهاher sky اللهبْflame
سماؤُها اللهبْ
O our land, whose soil is gold...
Her sky is flame,
وماؤُهاand her water الأحَبْthe dearest
وماؤُها الأحَبْ
ماnot خُلِقَتْshe was created لغاصبfor a usurper أوor أذْعَنَتْshe submitted لخائنto a traitor ذَنَبْlackey
ما خُلِقَتْ لغاصب أو أذْعَنَتْ لخائن ذَنَبْ
and her water is the dearest.
She was not created for a usurper, nor did she submit to a traitorous lackey.
بلادناour land ياO كتلmasses الغضبْrage
بلادنا يا كتل الغضبْ
منارةَbeacon العربْthe Arabs
منارةَ العربْ
Our land, O masses of rage,
beacon of the Arabs,
منfrom كثرةabundance التعبweariness
من كثرة التعب
كمhow many علمتyou have taught حقبages
كم علمت حقب
from so much weariness,
how many ages you have taught!
توهّجيglow ياO كُتلmasses الغضبrage
توهّجي يا كُتل الغضب
واشتعليand blaze لهبْflame
واشتعلي لهبْ
Glow, O masses of rage!
