    يَرى ما لا يُري سِرّاً وَجَهرا

    A shrewd, spirited youth, a rare kind of man,

    who sees what is unseen, in secret and in public;

    صَبورُ هِزَبرُ يَفتَرِسُ الهِزَبرا

    knowing, discerning, clever, perceptive;

    patient, a lion that devours lions.

    The keys to knowledge are in my right hand.

    I rose above all people when I became peerless.

    وَلي مُلكٌ وَلا مُلكٌ لِكِسرى

    I have a throne, while Bilqis has none;

    I have a kingdom, while Kisra has none.

    وَلي عِزٌّ وَلي سَعدٌ وَذِكرى

    I have merit, glory, and pride;

    I have honor, good fortune, and renown.

    I have all perfection and every high attainment,

    every lofty, mighty, and great height.

    For no one besides me is seen as my equal.

    My servants have taken the cosmos captive.

    When a sword is drawn in my right hand,

    you see the armies of the worlds turn red.

    How many wonders I have in knowledge,

    and signs that show you the dark ones radiant!

    وَذِكرَي أَفقَمَت بَرّاً وَبَرا

    How many heights and goals I have in the sciences;

    my renown has struck land after land dumb.
